• Set the document margins to 1 inch on each side.

• Write out dates in full (e.g., May 2010)
• Place all dates on the right-hand side of the page
• Avoid abbreviations

Don’t:

• Use aimless phrases such as “seeking a challenging position” or “working with people.”
• Exaggerate your experience.
• Round up your GPA.
• Write in complete sentences, keep your resume easy to look over
