Japan Tsunami

An 8.9 magnitude Earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan on March 11 at around 2:46 pm causing damage and blackouts, fires and a tsunami. The Kanto earthquake was the country’s last one. The Kanto was measured at a 7.9 magnitude which turned Tokyo into a mass of rubble. The Kanto is a reminder that Japan has faced this once before and has faced brutally difficult rebuilding efforts, and succeeded in building back better.
