Student Professional Organizations

The mission of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Student Association is to promote a fulfilling undergraduate career and expose all aspects of the tourism, hospitality, sports, and recreation fields to its students. We strive to achieve a better understanding of our industry through peer mentoring and pre-professional activities.

SRPA is your bridge between sport academia and the sports industry. SRPA is Temple’s original student-run organization designed specifically for Sport and Recreation Management majors. SRPA provides an excellent opportunity to network with students within your major and industry professionals through scheduled events, conferences, and semester meetings.

AHLA is a student chapter is to educate the next generation of hotel and lodging professionals about the current state of the industry, and provide them with opportunities to network among professionals in a manner that will expand their scope of the hotel and lodging industry.  All students regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability are welcome and encouraged to become members.

The purpose of this organization shall be to expose Sport Management and Tourism and Hospitality majors to career professionals in the sport industry especially in sport marketing.  This will be accomplished by providing networking opportunities, speakers and volunteer opportunities to allow members to gain more knowledge about different careers in the sport marketing industry.


NSMH’s mission is to promote diversity by educating students of the benefits that a diverse workforce provides in the global marketplace.


MPI’s mission is to provide an engaging and informational experience by offering access to the industry’s professionals and networking with other students.


SMSA is a new, up-and-coming student professional organization in the stadium and arena management field located at Temple University. We focus on areas in the stadium management field. Our goals are to further ourselves and each other and become a success professional in the field of stadium and arena management.

HSMAI.tucc is a collegiate chapter under HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International). Members of HSMAI Temple University Collegiate Chapter are mainly Temple University students and alumni who are interested in the profession of sales and marketing in the hospitality and tourism industries. We provide opportunities for students to network with professionals, as well as other collegiate chapters at monthly meetings, annual conferences, and special events!


The Temple University Chapter of the Professional Management Association (PCMA) strives to offer members: career exploration, networking opportunities with industry professionals, participation with the local and national organization, industry experience, and skill development.
