Committees

President and Vice President

The President and Vice President have the role of making sure that the entire organization is working towards a common goal. They are to oversee all of the committees and make sure that the whole company runs smoothly.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Committee has the responsibility of making sure that all employees understand their roles in their committees and that all committee members work together towards one common goal. They also must make sure all employees have or applied for a passport by the end of the semester.

Budget and Finance

This committee oversees all financial procedures. They also manage and allocate monies necessary to implement any event. They have unprecedented authority of all transactions for Montague & Associates.

Fundraising & Sponsorship

This committee is responsible for all fundraising activities, which is the foundation of our class. This committee is also responsible for getting sponsorship dollars to offset the fundraising efforts of the class. To get a major sponsor for your project is crucial to the success of the semester financially.

Project

The Semi-Formal and Career Fair are the most important events of the class. All committees are working towards one goal, to make both seamless and successful events. The Project Committee will facilitate the logistics for the events, before, during, and after.

Corporate Social Responsibility

This committee is responsible for organizing the First aid/CPR sessions for the entire class. They must organize a class wide volunteer event that is required for all employees to attend. In addition they are responsible with arranging the STHM Alumni Panel.

Global Cultural Awareness

The focus of this committee is to help all employees understand the importance of global awareness. They will also research seminars and conferences that span all disciplines of STHM (Sport & Recreation and Tourism & Hospitality). This group must keep track of students’ memberships to professional organizations.

Marketing & Social Media

This committee has a major challenge in marketing Senior Seminar’s events to faculty, students, alumni and the general public. They must strategize and think critically about how this impacts the STHM community. This committee is also responsible for creating professional guidelines for all employees’ social networking pages (i.e. Facebook, Twitter) and enforcing these guidelines.

Newsletter

Five newsletters are to be created during the semester focusing on undergraduate issues, STHM activity, and Senior Seminar productivity. This document will be distributed to the underclassmen and posted on the STHM web site. All articles should be well written and taken to the Writing Center for revision.

Website Development

This committee is responsible for creating, publishing, and maintaining the Senior Seminar’s website. This task is especially important because it is one of the organization’s global presence practices.

Quality Control and Brand Management

This committee is responsible for making sure the name of Montague-Ridall and Associates is upheld throughout the semester. They will ensure quality and professionalism during association activities, distribution and all brand awareness.

Research and Sustainability

This committee is charged with leading associates to be sustainable throughout the semester. Researching how the practices of the associates will manifest into best results for the overall good of Montague-Ridall and Associates is this committee’s main focus.

Wild Card

This committee acts as a resource for any and all committees that need extra hands for a short amount of time. The goal of the Wild Card committee is to ensure a smooth flow of communication between committees that work closely together. Majority of the Wild Card committee’s responsibility lies in helping both Fundraising committee as well as Project committee.
