Marissa Newberger is a senior at Temple University working to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She is currently the treasurer of her Panhellenic Sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and is an active member of Hospitality, Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Ms. Newberger completed her junior internship with Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants as the People and Culture Intern at Hotel Palomar and Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. She enjoyed this experience and found it to be very exciting. This led her to pursue another hospitality internship with Morgans Hotel Group at the Hudson Hotel in New York City. She served as the Human Resources Intern. After being immersed in this professional field, Marissa started to explore the endless possibilities for a career. She is matching her passion for innovation and creativity with professional career options. Marissa currently aspires to work for a trendsetting and competitive hospitality company upon graduation.
Rachel Meese was born and raised in the small town of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting at a young age, Rachel’s parents had introduced her to the world of travel and tourism. After years of creating memorable experiences through traveling, there was no question of what Rachel wanted to do with the rest of her life. After graduating high school in 2012, Rachel began her undergraduate career at Temple University within the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. During her time at Temple, Rachel has had the opportunity to work with a number of industry professionals and hold various leadership positions. Rachel has held a Sales and Marketing position with Normandy Farm Hotels and Conference Center, and a Guest Services position at the Hotel Palomar. She is currently the Vice President of the Temple University Student Chapter Meeting Professionals International (MPI), a student professional organization. Rachel, now a rising senior, is eager to obtain an internship with a company she has felt passionate about from the very start, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Ivory Nero, is currently a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. During her time within this program, Ivory has been introduced to many connections within the tourism and hospitality industry. Being in this industry has allowed Ivory to have hands on experience in meeting planning for Focus Pointe Global; As well as helping to coordinate events with Palmer and Palmer International. Ivory continues to brand herself as she continues to grow her comprehensive knowledge as well as gaining hands on experience throughout her field of study.
