Joe Martin is currently a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management and is obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management. He was a member of the National Honor Society at Ridley High School. Joe began his college career at the Gwynedd-Mercy University after accepting a scholarship to play baseball, but transferred to Temple after getting injured in his sophomore year. Joe has always had a great passion to work in baseball, which was one of the reasons he chose Temple’s STHM Program. For the past three years, Joe has been the head coach for Nether Providence American Legion baseball program. He has been extremely successful winning three league titles, two regional berths, and was the state runner-up in 2014. This upcoming Spring Joe has accepted an internship to be the Director of Baseball Operations at the University of Pennsylvania and an expectation of this leading to a full time job in baseball. One interesting fact about Joe is that he has Heterochromia.
Christina Paglione is a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management and is obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management. When she is not working with her fellow associates, Christina enjoys volunteering as a high school lacrosse coach and plans to pursue a career in high school athletics. This past summer, Christina traveled 3,200 miles across the United States and Canada to watch the U.S Women’s Soccer team win the World Cup.
Karl Floczak was born and raised in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Born west of Philadelphia, Karl spend most of his days outdoors playing sports with friends and family. Karl developed such a passion for sports; he decided to major in Sports Management at Temple University. Karl’s biggest interests and goals both revolves around NASCAR. One of his major goals is to work in the field of NASCAR, hopefully in racing operations. An interesting fact about Karl is he attended game 4 of the 2009 World Series, which the Philadelphia Phillies faced the New York Yankees.
Joe Wolgast is currently a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) where he is majoring in Sport and Recreation Management. He began his college career as a business major at Shippensburg University, but transferred to Temple following his freshman year in order to pursue his dream of working within sports. Joe has spent his time at Temple University being affiliated with Campus Recreation as a lifeguard supervisor and interning with the YMCA and SquashSmarts. Through these experiences, Joe has found a true passion for the recreation industry and envisions working in this field in the future. He ultimately wants to give back to communities across the country by providing services that will allow everyone equal opportunities to take part in sport and fitness activities. Joe will be graduating from Temple University in May of 2016, following the completion of his senior internship. Outside of school, Joe maintains an active lifestyle by participating in triathlons and is an avid gym user.
