Jake Goodman is a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management, and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Ever since he was a child, Jake dreamed of being a professional within the sports industry. Halfway through high school he knew Sport and Recreation Management was the major for him, and that Temple University was an ideal location to continue his education. During Jake’s time at Temple, he has interned in multiple fields of the sports industry including: Marketing & Corporate Services in Minor League Baseball, Football Operations at the University of Pennsylvania, and Strategic Business Development with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor. Through all these experiences Jake has shown a strong work ethic, and a passion to enhance his knowledge in every opportunity he receives. For his senior internship,which takes place this upcoming spring 2016, he is interested in a sports and entertainment venue or in a college athletic department.
Colleen Lunney was born in 1993 to a military family in Charleston, South Carolina. Wherever the Navy sent her dad Colleen and her family followed. They became accustomed to routine travel and moved to a new home and school every 20-24 months. Growing up in this environment allowed Colleen to develop a strong resilience to change and hardship. Her ability to adapt and thrive in any situation is her best quality. Colleen hopes to continue to travel all throughout her life to experience multiple cultures and places. Colleen completed her junior year internship at Duffy Books in Homes USA as a Community Relations intern. Colleen’s main motivation is working for not-for-profits and ethical companies.
Marisa Moore is currently a senior at Temple University graduating in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management. She completed her junior internship in Guest Services at the Gift of Life Family House, a non-profit organization that provides lodging for transplant patients and their families. It has been a wonderful opportunity for Marisa to experience such a unique perspective of the hospitality industry. Currently, she is the Vice President of the student professional organization, the Event Planning Association, and plans to explore the events industry further. For her senior internship Marisa would like to gain experience at a large hotel in Rooms, Food & Beverage or Events.
