Lisa Payton | Chair

Serving as Marketing Chair for Section 002 is Lisa Payton who is majors in Sport and Recreation Management with a concentration in Governance and Policy. Lisa has experience at numerous levels of the sport industry including professional, collegiate and recreational. As a current student worker for Temple Athletic Communications and Temple Football, Lisa also dedicates some of her time to volunteering and gaining experience with the Compliance office. For the upcoming senior internship, she hopes to gain a position with an athletics office at another University and preferably outside the Philadelphia area. Lisa’s long-term career goals involve post-grad internship programs and then later serving as a compliance director for a University.

 

 

 


 

Michael Chernow

Michael Chernow

Michael Chernow is a hard-working student at Temple University who is career oriented and focused on success. He completed internships with the Philadelphia Soul, Philadelphia 76ers and Pattison Sports Group. Michael has been employed by the Philadelphia Phillies since 2007 and Philadelphia 76ers since 2009, working in the locker rooms. He is looks forward to taking on the challenges that he will face for the remainder of his professional development and career.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Phillip Pruett

Phillip Pruett

Phillip Pruett was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina and loves sweet tea, barbecue, and Mexican food.  Phillip is a member of Temple University Men’s Gymnastics team as well as a Sport and Recreation Management major in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Some of his hobbies are listening to music, writing, and watching college football on the weekends.  Phillip’s career goals include becoming a sports writer, owning his own gym, and working within an athletic department at a college or university down south.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Ryan Flynn

Ryan Flynn

Ryan Flynn is a Sport and Recreation Management major at Temple University. His interests include game day operations and marketing/public relations. Ryan’s goals for the future are to be the Director of Marketing or Operations for a professional sports team. He is also interested in working for a Division I football or basketball program.
