Kaitlin Stoneburner is a senior pursuing a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She has spent the past three summers as an Operations Area and Department Supervisor at both Morey’s Piers and Dorney Park. She has also had the opportunity to be a Public Relations Intern at the South Street Headhouse District, a Housekeeping Intern at the Four Points Philadelphia Airport, and a Guest Attendant at Minute Suites in the Philadelphia Airport.
Kaitlin is currently a Front Desk Supervisor at the Residence Inn Langhorne. She hopes to continue her employment here through her senior internship and eventually travel the world with Marriott International.
Gabrielle Salomon started studying Sport and Recreational Management at Temple University in the fall of 2012. Throughout her undergraduate years, Gabrielle has explored numerous aspects of the sporting industry. Gabrielle has had numerous internships and is a member of student-run professional organizations. Gabrielle is also the founder of Special Olympics Temple University
While attending countless sporting events with her family as a child, Gabrielle was more interested in observing the staff around the arena than the physical game itself. This inspired Gabrielle to go into the sport and recreation industry. After graduation, Gabrielle hopes to continue her career in nonprofit recreation or college athletics.
Ashley Childs is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management along with a concentration in Hospitality Operations. She formerly held the Vice President position in Temple’s Professional Convention Management Association Student Chapter alongside the Marketing/Public Relations position in Temple’s American Hotel & Lodging Association student chapter. This semester Ashley has the opportunity to be on the Newsletter Committee for Montague-Ridall & Associates.
Ashley has completed two internships at Hyatt properties and serves as one of the Campus Ambassadors at Temple University. In the future, she plans to further her career with Hyatt by completing their Corporate Management Trainee program in a city she has yet to explore.
Benjamin J. Wood is a senior Sport and Recreation Management major at Temple University. While at Temple, Benjamin has completed three internships with the Philadelphia Soul, Philly Play Sports, and Temple Athletics. He also is a Building Supervisor within Temple’s Campus Recreation Department. Upon the conclusion of this semester, Benjamin hopes to intern with an intercollegiate athletic program in their game day or facility operations department. Upon receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in Sport and Recreation Management, Ben hopes to get a job in intercollegiate athletics in the operations department. Ultimately, he wants to become an Athletic Director of a Division I program or a General Manager for a professional basketball or football team.
