Claire is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Leadership at Temple University. Claire’s dedication to excellence, passion for outstanding customer satisfaction, strong organizational skills, and her eye for detail have led her to the demanding business of meetings and events. She believes that the most exciting aspect of this industry is the opportunity to not only meet but exceed customers’ expectations.
Nicholas in majoring in Sport and Recreation Management at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. He is currently employed by Modell’s Sporting Goods and the Philadelphia Flyers. Nicholas also works as a sales person for the Philadelphia Flyers Charities. This job primarily entails selling 50/50 Raffle tickets at Flyers home games. Upon graduating, Nicholas is hoping to work in community relations for a sports organization within the Philadelphia area. He would also enjoy moving to a higher position in the Flyers Charities and pursuing a career there. He was fortunate enough to gain some experience in this field during his junior internship by volunteering for the Believe & Achieve Foundation. This organization seeks to help underprivileged youth in the Greater Philadelphia Area by providing them with the skills necessary to become successful in life. Nicholas hopes that his experience with this foundation, along with his desire to help people, will help him find a job after graduation.
Melissa Lichter is currently a senior at Temple University pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Her past experiences with Holiday Cruises & Tours, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, The Union League of Philadelphia, and Aramark have shaped her as a professional in the tourism and hospitality industry. Over the course of her undergraduate career, Melissa has actively been involved with American Hotel & Lodging Association, Eta Sigma Delta- International Hospitality Management Honor Society, and Professional Convention Management Association. She is interested in working in event management and food and beverage but is always willing to try something new!
Michael Turney is a senior in Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management where he majors in Sport & Recreation Management. Michael was born and raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and prior to transferring to Temple he attended Duquesne University for a semester. His passion for sports induced him to pursue a career in the sport and recreation industry where he hopes to find a home in ticket sales for a professional sports organization.
