Ling Lin studies Tourism and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Hospitality Operations at Temple University. Ling was born in China; she moved to South Philadelphia in 2007. This transition helped her to realize the beauty in traveling and embracing different cultures; therefore, she decided to pursue a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Ling identifies herself as analytical, futurist, and determined. She has always loved the “big city” environment, and she appreciates the opportunities that Temple University and the City of Philadelphia have given her. Ling has worked for Independence Visitor Center, Doubletree by Hilton, Stephen Starr Events, and Caesar’s Entertainment at Harrah’s Philadelphia. Ling wants to utilize her academic background and language skills to travel and work in different countries in the future. Ling would love to pursue a career in sales or revenue management after graduating in May 2016.
Spencer Iversen is currently a senior at Temple University in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. He is pursuing a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Prior to attending Temple University, Spencer studied at Rowan University and was a part of the Rowan Baseball team. After attending Rowan for three semesters, Spencer decided that he wanted to pursue a career in Sport Management. After researching schools, he found that Temple University had the best Sport and Recreation Management program in the country. After getting accepted into Temple, Spencer walked on the Temple Baseball Team; that same year, the baseball team was cut due to budget restrictions. Spencer completed his junior internship at the Columbia North YMCA located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was a Sports Director. Some of Spencer’s future endeavors include working with the youth, traveling to different places in the world, and providing a positive and impactful insight into the world of Sport and Recreation.
Marc Chatzigiannakis is pursuing a degree at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University; his concentration is Hospitality Operations. Besides attending school full-time Marc has over three years of industry experience across five different hotel brands falling under three different corporate umbrellas; These include Hilton, Starwood, and Marriott properties. His most recent and current experience is at the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia, where he strives to enliven the Ritz-Carlton Mystique each and every day. Additionally, Marc has also been an active member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Temple University student chapter where he has served as the Public Relations Chair for the past year. Marc’s experiences, both in school and in the industry, have instilled in him a core set of service values that he attempts to live up to each and every day, whether at work or in his everyday life.
