Katie Mascitelli, Chair
Kathleen Mascitelli is from Drexel Hill, PA, located right outside of West Philadelphia. Ms. Mascitelli is a tourism and hospitality management major, with a concentration in event leadership. Her junior internship was at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University’s Office of Continuing Medical Education. During her time at the Office of CME, she collaborated with her co-workers in planning meetings and conventions for nurses and practitioners. Currently, Ms. Mascitelli is very excited to be part of the Fundraising Committee for Senior Seminar, Section 3. Here, she will learn more about the value and importance of finance for companies. After graduation, Ms. Mascitelli would like to have a job in the Events department at companies that are destination venues, such as The Franklin Institute and Walt Disney World. During her downtime, Ms. Mascitelli enjoys photography, rowing on the Schuylkill River, and attending festivals to learn about cultures.
Feyonda Fitzgerald was born in Norfolk, VA and was raised with her sister Ayonie by her grandparents, Rena and Amos Evans. She has been playing basketball since the day she started walking and strongly developed a passion for the game. Feyonda became fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to play basketball in college. She attends Temple University and is currently completing her senior year as a sport and recreation management major. Feyonda hopes to get drafted to the WNBA after her college career is over. This summer she completed her junior internship with the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Program District Manager, Joe Brogan, at the Guerin Recreation Center as well as with the recreation leader of Chew Playground, Kirk Foster. Feyonda is very blessed and thankful to have had the opportunity to network and meet new people who could possibly have an impact on her life in the future as well as do what she loves each and every day which is play basketball.
Zach Medine is from Harleysville, Pennsylvania and attends Temple University where he’s a sport and recreation management major. He’s passionate about youth development through sport and recreation and had the pleasure of volunteering at non-profit organizations in the community like YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of America, and the Boy Scouts. Zach did his junior internship at Plymouth Township Parks and Recreation in Plymouth Meeting where he worked as an event coordinator, recreation specialist creating marketing collateral and managing facility logistics for its summer sports leagues. Zach has an interest in fantasy sports, recreational sports, and has been playing competitive sports all his life. His favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles and he eventually wants to own a gym as he furthers his career.
Zachary Rissler is a sport and recreation management major from Reinholds, PA. Reinholds is nestled in the heart of Lancaster County, or Amish Country to many. He is the first person from his family to attend college, and has made the most of his opportunity. Zach did his junior internship with Drexel University Athletics in the business department. In this internship he assisted with auditing employee credit cards, using excel to monitor individual sport teams’ budgets, and assisted in crafting an overall budget for the athletic department. His interests include playing fantasy sports, attending sporting events, and going on vacations. Zach would like to work in the area of collegiate athletics, specifically in business or facility operations.
