Sarah Salvitti, Chair
Sarah Salvitti is currently a senior at Temple University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in tourism and hospitality management, with specific interests in the revenue management and sales areas of the industry. She grew up just outside of Philadelphia in Aston, Pennsylvania, where her journey into pursuing a career in the tourism industry began at a young age. She and her family were fortunate enough to take countless vacations all across the United States, which turned into unforgettable memories and sparked her desire to shape her career around creating memorable family experiences. Sarah began working at just the age of 14, and has diverse industry experience in retail sales, events, operations, and food and beverage. She recently completed her junior internship as a special events intern for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the summer of 2016. Sarah is extremely thankful for every opportunity she has been given and values the skills and expertise these experiences have shown her. After graduation, Sarah hopes to be working in either the revenue management or sales departments of a major hotel chain or tourist destination. She wants to gain as much experience as possible, in hopes of one day landing her dream job as a director of revenue. Outside of work, Sarah wants to travel all across the globe. She dreams of visiting her great-grandparents’ hometown in Italy, as well as vacationing at every Disney Park in the world.
Edward Gleason was born and raised in Rockville Centre, New York. He is currently enrolled in the tourism and hospitality management program at Temple University. During the summer, Edward Gleason completed an internship at Dodici Restaurant located in Rockville Centre, New York. While there, he was in charge of updating and implementing new training materials for the employees. Edward Gleason has a passion for streamlining processes to make sure that they are running at the most effective and efficient levels possible. For the remainder of the summer he spent time studying his LSAT’s and He looks forward to attending law school this upcoming fall.
Amanda Paone is in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University studying tourism and hospitality management with a concentration in hospitality operations. For her junior internship she worked for the food and beverage department in Birmingham, Alabama at the Westin hotel. Amanda’s hometown is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her interests outside of school are traveling and trying new restaurants. She would like to someday open her own restaurant.
