Currently a senior in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality, Matthew Swiren is pursuing a sport and recreation management degree with a minor in general business studies and a concentration in sport promotion. Matthew successfully completed his junior internship with Dr. Kunkel at the Sports Industry Research Center at Temple University. After experiences and internships with AYS Sports Marketing and in the event management field, Matthew hopes to complete his Senior Internship in the athlete brand management field and plans to graduate in May of 2017. Post-graduation, Matthew hopes to be gainfully employed in the athlete brand management or sponsorship procurement and activation industry.
Brenton is a senior sport and recreation management student enrolled in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University. Brenton is a program Ambassador for the Dean’s Office and recently concluded his junior internship for CBS Radio in their Strategic Partnerships & Integrated Marketing Department where he managed the assets of multiple clients for large-scale Philadelphia sporting events. He is an active member of the Sport and Recreation Professional Association and the Sport Marketing Association at Temple. When Brenton is not on campus, he spends his time traveling home to his wife and four children in addition to volunteering his time in his community. Brenton serves as a Lebanon County Pony Baseball Deputy Commissioner and youth baseball and basketball coach. Additionally, Brenton has been recognized with a 2014 Community Service Award in Lebanon County for creating and directing the largest, most successful collection drive for the Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County’s program history. He and his family have also been recognized for their volunteer work at a local soup kitchen and humane society in Lebanon County. He is a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars member and served as a Diamond Peer Teaching Assistant for STHM’s Business of Leisure course after displaying academic excellence in the course a semester prior. Brenton believes in giving back to his community through inspiration and personal experiences as an underdog story.
Emily Brozzoski is currently a senior at the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University, majoring in tourism and hospitality. Emily has a passion for sales and catering, and she successfully completed her junior internship with Cescaphe Event Group. She plans to graduate in the Spring of 2017 and aspires to work in the sales department for a fine-dining restaurant or boutique hotel. Emily is driven by the guest experience and always hopes to make it a memorable one. She makes every effort to exceed guest expectations in any way possible.
Shanice Gregory will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in tourism and hospitality management and spanish minor from Temple University in May 2017. Throughout her undergraduate career, she managed to be heavily involved and highly productive in the classroom, Philadelphia and Temple community. An academic scholar, Shanice has been on the Dean’s List every semester since her freshman year. She served as President of Temple’s National Society of Minorities in Hospitality Chapter exercising innovative and strategic leadership. She spent time as an Access Temple Campus Cousin helping international students transition to college life in the U.S. and is currently a member of Eta Sigma Delta, an international hospitality honor society. Ms. Gregory has explored different facets of the hospitality industry through numerous opportunities including internships with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and AMC Theatres headquarters in Kansas. Shanice is interested in pursuing a career path where she can connect with people, craft unforgettable experiences, develop and implement impactful initiatives.
Veronica Nardello is a senior in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management in addition to being a student in the School of Media and Communication at Temple University. She is a double major in tourism and hospitality management and communication studies. Veronica has successfully completed internships at AVE by Korman Communities in Union, New Jersey and at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Veronica hopes to obtain an internship in a large hotel where she can gain experience and exposure in all departments before graduating in May of 2017. Veronica’s ultimate dream is to become a General Manager of a hotel that employees can look up to and enjoy working with.
